Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using BoxBackup services, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Service Description

BoxBackup provides managed Proxmox Backup Server (PBS) hosting services. We offer:

  • Dedicated PBS datastores with configurable storage sizes
  • Hourly billing based on allocated storage
  • Free tier: 50GB free forever (one per user)
  • Scalable storage from 5GB to 5TB in 5GB increments

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information when registering
  • Keep your password secure and confidential
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account

4. Billing and Payment

Pricing: Storage is billed at €0.01 per GB per month, calculated hourly.

Payment: Payments are processed through Stripe. You must maintain a sufficient account balance to cover your usage. If your balance becomes negative, services may be suspended until payment is received.

Refunds: Refunds are provided at our discretion. No refunds are given for partial billing periods.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the service to:

  • Store illegal content or content that violates any laws
  • Store content that infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Store malicious software, viruses, or malware
  • Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems

6. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We reserve the right to perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that may temporarily interrupt service.

7. Data Backup and Loss

While we implement industry-standard backup and redundancy measures, you are responsible for maintaining your own backups. We are not liable for any data loss.

8. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in illegal activities. Upon termination, your data will be deleted after a 30-day grace period.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BoxBackup shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
